Locality

Dunk’s Green is in the Parish of Plaxtol and both are classified as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Recently the circular walk round the village was voted 6th favourite summer time ramble by The Times walks correspondent Christopher Somerville. The famous Greensand Way is minutes away. The nearest shops are in the neighbouring villages of Plaxtol and Hadlow (delivery service available). There are also many historic places of interest to visit such as Ightham Mote and Knole, Penshurst Place and many other wonderful National Trust and English Heritage properties within a short drive.

Pubs within walking distance are The Chaser (Shipbourne), The Papermakers Arms (Plaxtol) and The Swan on the Green at West Peckham, the setting for the recent remake of The Darling Buds of May. Wonderful gastronomic and wine or beer experiences can also be had at Yotes Court Vineyard (a 30 min walk away), Chart Farm, Westerham Brewery, Greensand Ridge Gin Distillery and The Old Firestation in Tonbridge (which hosts pop up Michelin evenings) – to name a few.

There’s plenty to do close by. Activities include golf, horse riding, yoga, outward bound centre, cycle hire (Tonbridge), mountain biking (Bedgbury), outdoor swimming pool (Tonbridge), sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Enjoy a pottery painting session with Prosecco at Potterati in the tranquil neighbouring village of Plaxtol (link) (10 min walk).  Only 45 minutes to the nearest famous coastal resort of Whitstable and an hour to Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea.
